Referring to a Monty Python's Flying Circus sketch, the "Dead Parrot Sketch". A man (John Cleese) brings a dead parrot sold to him by a pet shopkeeper (Michael Palin) back for a replacement.
Cleese: Now that's what I call a dead parrot.
Palin: No, no.....No,

Cleese: STUNNED?!?
Palin: Yeah! You stunned
