This is possibly the most excruciatingly boring movie ever shown on MST3K, beating even Manos in sheer overwhelming dullness. People walk, they stop, and they walk again, and occasionally they see some dinosaurs, and a character or two dies, though nobody seems to care. The film also features recycled footage from Rocketship X-M, recycled plot and setting from Jungle Goddess, and, of course, rock climbing!
All in all, this is quite a good episode, with great riffing and strong skits. It's definitely an episode you'll want to watch before going to bed, though.

Most boring movie ever shown on MST? It doesn't even compare to The Starfighters, that wonderous 2-hour exposé on jet fighters refueling.

This was a hilarious episode, with the running joke of, "so do you know how to fly this thing?" I laughed harder every time. Monkey boy got railed. Check it out.

I honestly wonder who was the first deranged cultist of Hastur the Unspeakable moonlighting as a director who decided that endless footage of middle-aged white guys walking across paths whilst grabbing onto rocks and occasionally stumbling slightly made for good cinema.
Even as a method of padding the film, I could easily have thought of far more enjoyable methods.
However, this is definately much better than Manos. At least after you get through the pointless climbing, you have some dinosaur footage to enjoy, rather than tupperware parties of the damned and torgo being killed 3 times none of which really seemed to take.

Hear, hear. I have to agree with you on this being better than Manos, as I am a little tired of seeing that episode get endless praise while gems like this and others are generally ignored by the newer fans. There is so much to love here, even the 20+ minute rock-climbing sequence. As Joel and The Bots scream in disgust and frustration at the screen, we share their pain, and delight in it.
