I'm guessing that Gamera was working on another project during this film. Maybe he was off shooting his short lived sitcom "Gamera, Gamera", because he doesn't get much screen time during this one. Barugon really should have fought for top billing.

Joel looks so incredibly goofy with that long shaggy haircut.

The original tape has some issues, and it seems like who ever taped it tried to trim the commercials and ended up nipping bits of the show, but over all this episode is pretty watchable.

Tom is being voiced high-pitched and nasally, and Crow's voice is still in transition, but it's neat to see where the characters began.

The riffing is sparse, and sometimes it seems like Joel and the bots lapse into watching the movie instead of mocking it, but that's not really a problem for those who like crappy movies anyhow.

Better than "According To Jim" but suffers from the same thing as most of the KTMA eps, the spontaneous riffing kind of comes and goes.

Worth seeing if you skip through the movie and just watch the host segments. Listen to messages from some of the very first MSTies!

I like it. The host segments are great, but the quality of the original copy isn't spectacular, and the static gets a little annoying, not to mention my cd drive just developed a squealing noise to go with it.

I watched this and was mesmerized! To actually watch the show in its early form was exciting. It is like finding a tape of Led Zeppelin in a garage playing for only the third time. Who cares that it has static and poor quality. A TV show from a local UHF station from 1988...what does one expect?

I am so glad that this project was undertaken.

I am sure you all might know, but Netflix is great for watching many of the old shows. They have dozens of DVDs of the old shows.
